Iceland and Meltdown
This body of work originates when I was he was invited, in 2008, by the Icelandic Artist Association to do an Artist Residency in Korpúlfsstaðir; a former disused dairy farm just outside Reykjavik that had been converted into Artist Studios. I was based there until May 2009.
Much of the imagery took its focal point around the global banking crisis, which was happening at the time decimating many economies around the world, and has had a particular impact in Iceland.
Other work produced included a series of landscapes observing the natural environment.
