GKS Public Art Project
The GKS Public Art Project (2005) commission by the GKS (Glenelg, Kildoran and Strathleven) Sheltered Residents Association funded by 7 different charities totalling £44,000. Four Vitreous Enamel Panels Murals measuring 2m x 2m were installed on the exterior of the GKS Elderly Sheltered Scheme. The project involved over 70 workshops and had over 700 participants. Participants included Kings Avenue Primary School, Livity School for Children with special needs, Clapham Youth Club, various Metropolitan Elderly Sheltered Schemes and the local community. The project was opened by Keith Hill MP on the 11 November 2005.
